The Greater Melbourne Family Law Pathways Network covers the Melbourne Metropolitan area and is part of the broader Victorian Family Law Pathways Network which seeks to improve collaboration and coordination between organizations and professionals operating in the family law system across the state.

Greater Melbourne services a population of over 4 million people, approximately 76% of the State’s population.

The Network provides informative forums, networking and training events across the year while maintaining a presence within the family law sector by attending sectorial meetings.

Services Include:

  • iRefer App: The Victorian FLPN have pooled resources to develop the iRefer Vic application. iRefer Vic provides information and referral pathways to families and support workers looking for appropriate support services within the family law sector across Victoria. You can download the app to your Apple or Android device, available from the applicable app store.
  • Referral Kiosk: A referral Kiosk operating at the Melbourne (Monday to Thursday) and Dandenong (Monday to Wednesday) Commonwealth Law Court Registries Family Law between 8.30am to 12:00pm. Our friendly volunteers assist in using the application and make referrals to the relevant service.Kiosks are also installed at all Specialist Family Violence Courts across Victoria.
  • Events and Webinars: We develop and co-host educational events that help family law practitioners to better understand family law issues by sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas.
  • Training Opportunities: We foster a holistic understanding of community service providers and their role in the family law system for university students through our Kiosk Volunteer Program, ‘Famils’ Inductions and yearly training sessions tailored to students. We also offer training sessions for professional development for those working in the family law sector.
